FAQs

Why does Tasmaniac Trademark Gin have a slight hue to its colour?

We wanted Tasmaniac Trademark Gin to represent the Huon Valley in Tasmania, and this of course meant incorporating apples into our gin! We did a combination of both pot and vapour distillation of various forms of apple, yet what gives the slight hue to the colour of Trademark Gin is that we macerated fresh apple post distillation too.

Is Tasmaniac Trademark Gin an “apple gin”?

Whilst we did incorporate a lot of apple into Tasmaniac Trademark Gin, we wanted to create a balanced contemporary gin and not have the product fall into a flavoured gin category. You’ll notice more of an impression of apple rather than an explosion of it, yet with great texture and savoury notes. This allowed Tasmaniac Trademark Gin to have versatility and you can visit our recipe section to find the many ways to enjoy it!

How is Tasmaniac Coffee Liqueur different?

You will notice Tasmaniac Coffee Liqueur has a lot more “going on” than your standard coffee liqueur. We macerated botanicals found in classic Italian Amari in our spirit, along with Tasmanian Huon Valley cherries and hazelnuts. You are left with a complex, not so sweet, but delicious coffee liqueur.

What is Amaro/Amari?

Amaro/Amari (plural) is an Italian herbal liqueur commonly consumed as a digestif after a meal. We incorporated some botanicals found in various Amari in Tasmaniac Coffee Liqueur.

Can I drink Tasmaniac Coffee Liqueur like a regular Coffee Liqueur?

Yes! Even though we went that extra mile with macerating various botanicals which make it stand out in the genre and also not throwing in loads of sugar, it is extremely versatile in the traditional nature of coffee liqueur.

Tasmaniac Coffee Liqueur is perfect simply over ice with a slice of orange. However it makes a brilliant complex espresso martini too! Not to mention a coffee tonic. Head to our recipe section to find out more!
